Wine dinner in Birmingham
Derek Summers, of Summers Estate Wines in Napa Valley, Calif., will introduce guests at 220 Merrill to his family’s small-batch, estate-grown wines on Oct. 13.

A special three-course meal, created by Chef Frank Olbrantz, will feature locally grown ingredients that pay tribute to the harvest season. The showcased wines are fruit-forward to suit fall foods and flavors.
During the evening, guests will hear about the history of the winery, grape harvest and wine production, and have a chance to ask questions, as well as the opportunity to purchase bottles not available at grocery stores.
The dinner is 7-9 p.m. and costs $55, not including tax or gratuity.
