What Types of Events Does 220 Merrill Host? 

Our private event restaurant hosts all types of events, including:

What Is the Guest Capacity for Different Event Types? 

We can accommodate up to 250 guests for full buyouts. Our North and South dining rooms, perfect for smaller gatherings, can accommodate up to 24 guests each. For half-buyout private events, we can accommodate groups of varying sizes up to 80 guests fully seated or 100 guests standing.  

Additionally, we have a community table available at our private event restaurant with a seating capacity of up to 40 guests.  

Is There a Minimum Guest Count or Food and Beverage Minimum for Private Events or Buy-Outs? 

There is no minimum guest count for our private events and buy-outs. Your group can consist of any number of people, up to our maximum capacity of 250 guests.

Which Spaces Are Available for Private Events?  

220 Merrill offers several different spaces for semi-private and private events. Our sophisticated environment and culinary experiences are perfect for any type of event during weekdays, evenings, or on weekends.  

Some of our event rooms you can reserve include:  

  • Community table: Our community table in our main dining area is perfect for semi-private events. It provides a warm, inviting ambience with a bold, modern design with shared seating for up to 40 people. The open setting is ideal for celebrations, business meals, or networking. 
  • North or South private dining room: Each room has a sitting or standing capacity of 24 guests. Both rooms have 14-foot ceilings, rich chocolate tones, and one mirror-covered wall, with soundproof sliding glass doors. Each dining room is perfect for intimate meals and moderate-sized receptions. You also have access to a complete A/V system, independent lighting, presentation equipment, independent climate control, fireplaces, and Apple TVs.  
  • North and South private dining rooms: You can reserve both of these rooms for a refined, elevated setting. Reserving both rooms accommodates up to 48 guests standing or sitting. You can also configure each room independently for specific purposes during your private event.  
  • Semi-private half-facility buy-out: A half buyout offers exclusive use of either the North or South dining room and shared access to select dining room, lounge, and bar areas. This flexible option offers some privacy, while maintaining an upscale ambiance and a full culinary experience.  
  • Facility buy-out: When you want exclusive access to our elegant restaurant, we offer a full buy-out. You and your guests can enjoy a luxurious experience with a fully customized layout to suit your needs. Whether you are hosting a holiday party, a new product launch, a wedding ceremony and reception, or a large corporate gathering, we will create a memorable event featuring a personalized menu and beverage package.  

What Is Parking Like for Private Events? 

Several parking options are available for private events at 220 Merrill. We can even provide a valet parking service for your event. Additionally, the Pierce Street Parking Structure is behind our restaurant, with the first two hours free and free parking on Sundays. Metered parking is also available on nearby streets.  

Do You Offer In-House Catering and a Full-Service Bar for Private Events? 

Our culinary and beverage teams offer in-house catering and a full-service bar for your private event. We provide flexibility to allow you to choose from our catering menu or dinner menu to personalize your experience for your private event.  

For private events in the mornings and afternoons, you can also include items from our brunch menu. We will work with you to design a customized menu that complements your event perfectly.
